About Cheryl Milmoe
Cheryl is a career and transition coach with more than twenty years experience in the financial services industry, beginning at one of the country’s top accounting firms. After eight years Cheryl moved “downtown” where she managed the HR function for a Global Division of a Wall Street investment bank. She went on to become Director of Human Resources for a private equity firm and later, HR Director for a national environmental advocacy organization. After earning certification from New York University, Cheryl completed additional training in Public Trauma and Crisis Management and founded Career Management Solutions after working with displaced workers of September 11th.
Cheryl has led transition and career development workshops for one of the world’s largest outplacement firms and has lectured at the Wharton Alumni Club, Columbia University, New York University Stern School of Business and the American Management Association.
As a transition specialist, Cheryl helps people prepare for and navigate through change. She is recognized as an expert resume writer and for her ability to coach people to success by giving them the tools they need to focus on their gifts and capitalize on their talents. Her clients come from different walks of life and include attorneys, senior executives, business owners, police officers, actors, teachers and students, Boomers, Gen X & Y, from those preparing to launch their careers to those planning for a new post-retirement role.
Cheryl is trained and certified by New York University in Career and Life Planning and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with distinction from the City University of New York at Queens College.
Cheryl is a member of The Career Management Alliance, National Association of Adult Continuing Education, American Society for Training and Development the Society for Human Resource Management and the Toastmasters Speakers Bureau.
